The Village of Peotone has announced measures to enhance compliance with local codes for residents and businesses.
Starting the week of December 3, B&F Construction Code Services, Inc. will conduct periodic inspections throughout Peotone to identify property maintenance issues. Initial inspections will pinpoint code violations, and property owners will be notified and given 14 days to address these issues. If unresolved, further action by the town may follow.
According to the Village, the primary objective is to promote compliance rather than increase ticketing. They aim to collaborate with residents and businesses to ensure that Peotone "remains a great place to live, work, and raise a family."
