Peotone Police Officer John Popek promoted to Sergeant

Peotone Police Officers John Popek and Matt Moore were promoted to sergeant and lieutenant, respectively, at the December 16 Village Board meeting.

Sgt. Popek has served Peotone for nearly 24 years. He is recognized for his dedication, hard work, and commitment to keeping the community safe. His leadership and experience are expected to continue benefiting residents and strengthening the police department.

Officer Matt Moore was promoted to Peotone police lieutenant at the same meeting. According to the village, he is known for "demonstrating exceptional dedication, leadership, and professionalism." Moore will continue his commitment to the safety and well-being of Peotone residents.
